An Arts in Health workshop
Black Well-being & Stress Relief Through Artmaking
Sustaining the whole self — stress relief and resilience for Black teams, networks, and communities.
Stress lands differently on Black communities. The everyday load is compounded by what often goes unnamed. These sessions give your group practical, immediately useful tools to manage stress, build resilience, and feel seen as people first.
Designed with Black participants' wellness at the forefront, and grounded in culturally responsive facilitation — built in, not added on top.
Sustaining the whole self
What the session is
A wellness program designed with your wellness at the forefront.
Drawing on Belinda's research into the impact of stress on the Black body and mind, the workshop guides participants through simple, accessible exercises that promote relaxation, rejuvenate the spirit, and build resilience that carries into daily life.
Delivered as a single session or an extended series, it creates a space where people connect and explore shared experience — not as professionals performing a role, but as people first.
What participants take away
- Engage with creativity in a supportive, culturally grounded environment
- Discover how creative expression can ease stress and restore well-being
- Build a portable self-care practice that holds up across work and life
